Online Roster Rules
- To be included in the 2009 College Coaches Packet; you must have your Online Roster completed by JUNE 26, 2009 11:00 p.m. (EDT).
- While you may continue to modify your Online Roster until July 5, 2009 11:00 p.m. (EDT), please note these changes will NOT be available to College Coaches, so please don't deny your players this exposure.
- You may not add ANY PLAYER after July 5, 2009 11:00 p.m. (EDT).
- DO NOT bring any player to the 2008 Hoosier Shootout that is NOT on your Online Roster or has been added AFTER July 5, 2009 11:00 p.m. (EDT).
- Failure to create an Online roster for the 2008 Hoosier Shootout by July 5, 2009 11:00 p.m. (EDT), will result in immediate forfeit from the tournament with NO REFUND.
Hoosier Shootout Age Requirements
Junior Boys Division 17 and Under - born on or after September 1, 1991
Exception 1: A player who is in the 11th grade and who was born on or after September 1, 1990 can participate in the Junior Boys/11th grade division.
Exception 2: A player who is enrolling in Prep School is eligible to participate provided he was born on or after September 1, 1990) Subject to the approval of the Tournament Director. Contact Mike Bauer at 812-829-2737 to apply for approval.
16 and Under/10th grade - born on or after - September 1, 1992
Grade Exception: A player who is in the 10th grade and who was born on or after September 1, 1991can participate in the 16: under/10th grade division. No limit on the number of grade exception athletes.
.15 and Under/9th grade - born on or after - September 1, 1993
Grade Exception: A player who is in the 9th grade and who was born on or after September 1, 1992 can participate in the 15: under/9th grade division. No limit on the number of grade exception athletes.
14 and Under/8th grade - born on or after - September 1, 1994
Grade Exception: A player who is in the 8th grade and who was born on or after September 1, 1993 can participate in the 14: under/8th grade division. No limit on the number of grade exception athletes.
2009 Tournament Guidelines
- NFHS Rules for game play (no running clock, 2 - 16 minute halves).
- Minimum 5 minute pre-game warm-up.
- 5 minute halftime.
- No game will start early
- 5 minute grace period for forfeits.
- AAU Rules apply to all tie-breakers:
- Any two-way tie, head-to-head
- Any three-way tie:
- Point differential of games involving tied teams only.
- Differential value is assessed and ranked.
- In the event two teams end with the same differential value refer to two-way tie.
- In the event all three teams are still tied add in differential with fourth team.
- If three way ties still exist, coin flip.
- We provide scorekeeper, timekeeper and game ball.
- ALL Teams must complete the New NCAA Online Roster Process..
- No person will be allowed on the bench without registering.
- Registration will consist of presenting picture identification and a complete 14 digit NCAA coach’s approval number. No person will be allowed to coach without this complete documentation.
- All Teams must adhere to the NCAA Residency Rules: 3 player maximum from out of state.
- Bench personal is limited to 4 NCAA approved persons.
- Coaches must wear badges to enter venues.
- Coaches must wear badges while on the bench.
- Event teams, event coaches, fans and general public are strictly prohibited from entering a COLLEGE COACHES ONLY entrance or seating area.
- Event teams will enter and leave the bench area away from the college coaches seating area.
- The NCAA prohibits all Division 1 coaches from talking to event coaches, event players, players’ family members and general public.
- All team members and a team coach are required to attend the mandatory NCAA Educational Session, failure to do so will result immediate forfeiture from the tournament.
- Home Team is listed first or on top and will wear light colored jerseys.
- Tournament Director’s decision is final and without appeal.

NCAA Educational Seminar
This is a mandatory event for all team players and a representative team coach. Teams which fail to show up will forfeit their next game.
